Film and Family supports films by families and for families. We are located in Utah and Georgia, establishing film communities on both the East and West coasts, as epicenters of the family-friendly filmmaking movement.
GEORGIA:
Georgia is full of safe, affordable, diverse, and value-based communities for families. Filmmakers that love God, love living in Georgia, where faith communities of all kinds abound and unite under common family values.
Plentiful resources for filmmakers: home to one of the largest film/tv work forces in the nation, Trilith Studios, one of the largest production studios in the country, Reel Families for Change, and the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, making it easy to fly in collaborators and actors. Hotels and Airbnbs provide plentiful access to family-friendly accommodations, and there are countless attractions and resources for visitors and citizens alike.
State benefits: Due greatly to the existence of the nation’s best tax incentives for film, productions abound in GA, and there is a massive film/tv workforce (including cast and crew) ready to work on union and non-union productions state-wide. It’s a right to work state.
UTAH:
A heavily faith-based community with strong emphasis on families and family values.
Home to a variety of unique, breathtaking locations and plentiful accommodations. Hosts Sundance and other great film festivals every year.
A young but fiercely talented filmmaking community on the rise, surrounded by entrepreneurial-minded people in tech and other industries.
Resources include Utah film studios, gear rental facilities, catering companies, talented filmmakers, a supportive film commission, tax incentive, international airport, and a right to work state so talent are free to work on both union and non-union productions.
