We seek to educate the rising media-saturated generation in film and media literacy and prepare our students, both young and old, to tell valuable stories that contribute to a healthier more charitable world for all.

As harmful narratives inundate our media diet more and more, our entire world’s well being suffers as a consequence.

We define harmful narratives as: Any media that promotes false ideas, portrays unhealthy behaviors as normal or inconsequential, or contains agendas backed by entities that have a conflict of interest between telling the truth and personal gain.

If we are not media literate, we cannot detect or protect ourselves from the effects of harmful narratives. Because of the prevalence of media, literacy becomes an essential component of success and wellness in navigating our modern world.

As media consumers, we all have a responsibility to vote with our wallets, time, and attention for media that promotes a more charitable world. We also need to be educated in where to find the best media programming available, which can prove daunting.

Mental and emotional health crises are reduced when viewers have access to more honest and meaningful stories that inspire us to do better, be better, and help us further internalize the incredible worth of each individual member of a community.
